Quality in Craftsmanship; Excellence in Service
The following are photographs of our factory, some of the Unitex fabric sample books available, and a few of the many styles of drapery, decorative top treatments, and "hard" window coverings installed by Unitex.

  • Our Factory

Opened by Unitex in May of 1976, our sewing plant is located in the charming rural town of River Falls, Wisconsin, approximately 35 miles southeast of the Minneapolis-St.Paul Airport. The quality level of the fabrication done here meets such a high standard that our window treatments can be used interchangeably for either residential or commercial applications.

  • Customer Service with a Human Touch

Unlike the often frustrating experience of calling a corporation only to be greeted by an impersonal electronic answering system, when you call Unitex you get to talk to a real live human being! The only times you'll get a recorded response are when all of our lines are busy or after regular business hours.

  • Unitex Fabric Sample Books

We are happy to send sample books of our printed, woven, and solid color fabric lines at no charge. Call our Customer Service Department at (708) 524-0664, outside Illinois call us toll free at (800) 621-0736, to request the sampling of the fabric styles in which you are interested. You can also e-mail your request to unitex@unitexindustries.com.

  • When a "Light" Touch is Required

These inverted box pleat valances provide a deft finishing trim to these cafeteria windows, without getting in the way of the airy feeling created by their brilliant diffusion of light.

  • No Scale Too Large to Handle

Our factory routinely produces large scale drapery treatments for auditoriums, theaters, gymnasiums, and other applications of unusually large size, such as this fifty-foot-wide banquet hall stage, fitted with a Unitex swag, cascade, and side panel ensemble.

  • No Installation Too Difficult

There are no challenges that our experienced installation teams cannot meet. These valances with stationary side panels were installed thirty feet in the air, above a three-tiered, two-way staircase!

  • Managing Light in the Classroom

Rod pocket valances soften the austerity of these exceptionally long, room darkening roller shades. Blackout shades were indicated in this classroom setting, where movies and slides are often shown.

  • Capturing That "Vintage" Look

The picturesque hotel rooms of the historic Carleton of Oak Park required window treatments that complemented their feeling of "Old World" elegance.

  • Scarf Swags Over Brass Finials

This delicate treatment adds a light touch of drama without overwhelming the clean lines and open space of this interior design.

  • Balloon Shades

These balloon shades topped by padded cornices lend a homey, yet tailored, appearance to these library/family room windows.

  • Sometimes less IS more

A single sheer scarf swag, over a simple white pleated shade, puts an elegant, understated finishing touch to this lavishly appointed dining room.

  • Swag and Shade Solution

An eye-catching drapery pattern over a large expanse of neutrally colored cellular shades seemed a sensible solution to the challenge presented by the massive windows in the foyer of this Illinois nursing home.

  • Silhouette® Window Shades

Silhouette® Shades combine the softness of sheer draperies with the clean, geometric lines of horizontal blinds.

  • Pleated Sheer Draperies

These beautiful pinch pleated sheers, hung on decorative bronze drapery rods, achieve the perfect balance between privacy and translucence in these tranquil living room and dining room settings.
